HOW'S MY DRIVING?!

Huh, so that's what happened. It doesn't look like they'll have it fixed anytime soon... [A bit of a sigh, but what can you do, right?]

[Here is Guy, with the look of someone that hasn't slept all night. The reason? The mirror thread, where Luke appears to have just vanished into thin air.

Abandoning his search, as it seems to be getting him nowhere, he decides to try asking for help on the second level instead.]

Hey, I know this sounds sudden, but is there anyone that isn't busy? A friend of mine's gone missing.

[At the same time, he doesn't want to cause a panic- he'll start small, and see what suggestions people have.]

[Filter: Tear]

[Trying to keep his tone light.] I don't know what's going on, but you were with Luke at the Ball, right? You didn't see him after? We ran into some trouble with the rooms.

[/Filter]

[Guy appears on the second level, holding a notepad and a pen. He looks a little wary, but at the same time, he's smiling.]

We've been noticing that a lot of people here are from different worlds--well, I guess that much is pretty obvious-- but what we don't know is which worlds these are. The names of places, the history behind them, what kind of fon—uh, technology they have... [A pause, he's reconsidering this idea- what worlds everyone is from isn't exactly his business. Yet, after a second, he carries on.]

If you don't mind, would you share a few details about your own world? I’m trying to see if any are related somehow.

[And then a thought!] Ianto mentioned that some of you are from an alternate kind of Template, too- could you tell me how they're any different?


[OOC: I edited out that last part after the completion of his plot!thread, for anyone who saw it and was wondering! Decided a new post for it might be better.]

A Masquerade Ball, huh? It sounds a lot better than what happened last year. Probably too good, now that I think about it. [Guy's gotten used to this female thing for the most part, but he still looks awkward, holding his arms so as to avoid accidentally touching himself.]

Might as well check it out, right? How about you, Luke? I'm not sure how many people are going, but-- [Suddenly frowns. Female body. What would he have to WEAR?] Uh, on second thought...

[SIGH] Well, it looks like Jade's here, too. Maybe it'd be best if we stuck together for now.

So, Tear's here now. [Thoughtful Guy is thoughtful.] I might be wrong, but didn't someone say it was impossible to leave? I've got a feeling that all these new arrivals are just acting as replacements.

[Foot in mouth syndrome, hi- abruptly realizes that that might hurt some people's feelings, with talk of their friends just being 'replaced'.] Ah, I mean, they're being assigned to the old rooms. There really is a limited amount of them, huh?

[And as much as he wants to ask where they people that leave GO, this isn't a good time. Just have a slight sigh now as he wonders about it.]

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but will you look at that finish! It's obviously been taken care of. [Guy has found a car engine. Somehow. And is examining it with a childish enthusiasm.]

Every piece fits perfectly... I wonder how it runs! The Fontech here seems even more advanced than Sheriden. Huh, maybe I can take it back with me once I figure out how it works. [Thoughtful pause, and then reaches out to the oil valve.]

Now, what does this one d-- [OIL TO THE FACE. Blink.]

I really don't get it. As much as I'd like to say it was the city, nothing anyone's mentioned talks about... [sigh] What's going on, Luke? It almost looks like you're avoiding me.

So, I heard there was some trouble last year. We might not be able to stop it from happening again, but does anyone have an idea of how to prepare for it?

Different worlds, huh?

I'm not sure what's going on, exactly, but is it normal for everybody from these different worlds to be- uh- related like this? [Have an expression readable as 'or is there something I'm missing here?']

So, I guess I took a wrong turn. [Guy looks slightly confused, looking left and right as he exits the church.]

At this rate, we'll never make it before-- Uh, excuse me-- [The man he had spotted ignores him and walks on by.]

Huh, looks like I'm not the only one in a hurry. They've gotta have a sign somewhere, right? That one- Template? That's the name of the city? Never heard of it... [Slight sigh, looking a bit concerned now.]

I've got a bad feeling about this... Can anyone point me to the way out? I don't really have time to hang around.
